Food Safety Specialist

Sylvia established Enlitened in response to a need in the Irish food industry for specialised know-how in the area of food safety, labelling and NPD. Her career in the food industry has involved positions with small family-run businesses up to large corporation-scale food businesses. Her skills have brought her work to an international level and she has experience with household brands, such as Kerry Foods and KFC.

Sylvia holds a B.Sc. in Food Science & Technology from DIT Cathal Brugha St. She brings 15 years of industry experience to her work in Enlitened, including expertise in Quality assurance, Food safety & Compliance and New product development.

Sylvia is an accredited trainer with The EHAI (Environmental Health Association of Ireland) and The NHP (National Hygiene Partnership)

Small and medium food businesses are where Sylvia feels most passionate. The innovation and creativity found within these business owners are contagious – what a great feeling to share!

Sylvia is an acting as a member of the judging panel for the IQFA (Irish Quality Food Awards) and is also a volunteer for Children in Hospital Ireland.
