If you have a food business, or work in the food industry, you are legally required to undertake food safety training & HACCP Training – (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point))

E.C. Regulation 852/2004 (Hygiene of Foodstuffs) states that all food handlers are trained commensurate to their duties.

The experienced training team at Enlitened deliver a range of training programmes to meet the requirements of food business and persons seeking work within a food operation. We also work around businesses trading hours and offer training after hours.

Food Safety Training Level 1

The aim of this course is to provide food workers with adequate training in the basic principles of food safety. On completion of Level 1 participants will be able to understand their requirements under Irish food safety legislation as well as following best work practices. It is recommended food handlers who remain in the industry should progress to Level 2 training.

Who should attend?

New employees with no previous experience. Food handlers with light food handling This course will take around 3 hours to complete.

Food Safety Training Level 2

The aim of this course is to provide food workers with adequate training in the basic principles of food safety and covers the necessary skills required to practice HACCP effectively in the workplace.

Who should attend?

This programme is designed for all food handlers, chefs and supervisors preparing food for public consumption (i.e. Café, shops, hotels, healthcare). Course duration is 8 hours.

Food Safety Training Level 3

On completion of this course, you will be able to formulate and implement a comprehensive food safety management system in the workplace and to organize the necessary training for their staff. Participants will be trained both in the principles and practices of effective food hygiene management.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for food business owners, managers, head chefs, and those responsible for implementing and managing food safety and HACCP. Food Safety Training Level 1 and Level 2 should be demonstrated by managers prior to progressing onto Level 3.

This course is run over 4 days. On the final day, there will be a 2 hour written examination. There will also be a project that the participants are required to submit one month after they complete the Management of Food Hygiene course.

Although we are legally require to take food safety training, Sylvia was a better trainer than we could have hoped for. Totally Recommended
